FROM NEW ZEALAND THE HAWKES BAY DISTRICT HEALTH BOARDS VERY OWN HOSPITAL PALLIATIVE CARE TEAM WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE FOLLOWING MAGNIFICENT PEOPLE FOR SUPPORTING AND HELPING US HAVE A VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENT WHICH WAS CALLED: "TIME OUT FOR PALLIATIVE CARE"
The Hospital Palliative Care Team, HPCT has been a very recent addition to our Hospital.
We will have been in existence for tree years this coming January. The service began with me as the lone nurse but now we are a small consult team with a Palliative Care Physician Dr Carol McAllum and my nursing colleague CSN Ann Gray. We have a wonderful network of Resource/Link Nurses for Palliative Care throughout our hospital that help us. We have a close relationship and are supported by our local hospice in the community.

Kaye Flett worked tirelessly to promote the raffle.
The proceeds will be divided between the Hospital Palliative Care Team and the Cranford Hospice.
We were privileged to have been given the quilt by a grateful Cranford Hospice family.
The lucky winner of our beautiful quilt that was raffled was Midwife Diona Turner.

Grateful thanks to all those people who bought a sausage from our Sausage Sizzle on that Saturday.
We couldn't have done it without the help of the staff from radio "More FM" and the generosity of the Department store "Harvey Norman" - Money raised will go towards Music resources for the Hospital Palliative Care Team.
