World Day 2007: UK - Dorothy House Hospice, Wiltshire
We are pleased to report that our Voices for Hospices concert held in Melksham, Wiltshire was a great success. The concert featured The Silver Ring Choir of Bath with Melksham's own Rhiannon Lambert a talented soprano as guest soloist. The show was hosted by ITV West TV presenter Peter Rowell.

The audience of 260 enjoyed a special evening of music and the event raised £3700 for the Dorothy House Hospice at Winsley near Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire. During the interval refreshments were provided for those taking part.

Annette Peers one of the organisers made a cake for the occasion that was skilfully decorated with the Voices for Hospices logo and was ceremonially cut by the conductor of the choir Grenville Jones.

Members of the Wiltshire Lodge of Agriculture and their ladies visited the hospice on Wednesday 28th November to present the cheque. They were met by Paula Smith fundraiser for the hospice seen in the picture holding the right side of the cheque. They were given a tour of the treatment and family rooms with an explanation of the help they provide for those who are terminally ill and their families.
